I'm curious about the file format for the new ships? At... That other swg place... They were extremely dismissive of the mere suggestion of introducing new models, part of their argument being that the model types weren't simple obj files (perhaps vector based or something like that?) Anyway, I'm just a hobbyist, and this is merely a question of trivia for me, but... Yeah, making ships in blender is one of my many creative outlets. I'd love to have that dream back-- to make something cool to expand this virtual world.

I would love to see more corvette sized ships (Marauder-class corvette,Tartan II-class patrol cruiser, Crusader-class Corvette, Imperial Raider Class Corvette, Vigil-class Star Corvette) in Galaxies either as AI or craftable ships. Dreaming ..I Know....but it would be so much fun with one or more of these in the game.

I'm an incredibly poor pilot, once Master Freelancer mostly thanks to nice guildies on escort duty lol, but i still understand that the flight simulator or what to call it of SWG is an awesome system - so while i'm not much interested in it myself i appreciate muchly that Legends are working on and developing it for all the space nuts out there, great job!

what are the polycount on the ships in SWG?

Am a hobby 3d artist, and this was the first Q that came to mind. And would be cool to have more ships for each tier, even if they where just cosmetic diffrences, would create a greater diversity and feeling of "choice" when you get a new tier certificate. Feks having the Tie Hunter have the same stats as a Tie Intercepter, just to give the player a choice based on design.

And theres so many ships in the StarWars universe that would be awsome to be able to fly, and they seem pretty low poly so could be pretty quick to produce.

With the rebels show there where a new medium large ship the Imps used, that seems sizewise comparable to the corvette.

    This one:

Ok i love this idea is there any way to maybe make the speed modifier of the Defender a 1, to make it actually fast like it was in Tie Fighter. Unless you cant for balancing issues which i understand. Also anyway to put the Otana in there, would love to fly that sexy beast. Also i know this sounds like a stretch what about making the pob weapons able to fire forward if you cant find a crew or if you just want to fly your pob solo.

Oh my good god YES. The Assault Gunboat.
For years I've been asking SOE to add this to the game, I really want to thank you for this.

If I may provide some criticism though; The lower wings are aimed down a bit too much and got some gouraud shading issues going on there.
I'm not sure if it's just zoomed in a lot, but it looks a lot more chunky. Remember that it's still a fighter, kind of like an Imperial version of the X-Wing!

Keep up the good work though!

Awesome stuff! but as a side note what about adding Scyk style 2 heavy variant? Dunno if it has been discussed since I haven't been around long but back on live it was one of the most requested (and ignored) topics that kept popping up.
